Frishman Hollow

The small mountain town of Truckee, California is the central gateway to the north shore of Lake Tahoe. As with many mountain getaways, Truckee faces attainable housing challenges for its many service industry workers. On top of that, this area, famous for its tough winters, has a short building season. For these reasons and more, the two-phase Frishman Hollow modular construction project offers a quick-build, low-impact solution and a design that complements the mountain aesthetic of the region.

Frishman Hollow consists of two and three bedroom apartments. It offers handicap accessible units as well as units designed and constructed specifically for individuals with sensory impairments. For the benefit and welfare of its residents, the design includes a 1,050 square foot recreation building consisting of an office, maintenance room, computer learning center, laundry facilities, exercise room, and a community / TV room.

Barbecue areas with tables and benches are situated throughout the development and surrounded by plenty of open space will serve as an excellent setting for family gatherings. For children, a 2,500 square foot playground area with equipment will provide a perfect place for recreation.

The modular construction approach to Frishman Hollow offers a low-impact, short-build-time site assembly process instead of conventional onsite construction.
