World of Modular, already the largest and longest-running modular industry event, was buzzing with great new sessions, exhibits, and awards recognizing excellence. Prefab Logic had many visitors and came away with plenty, including top-award recognition for a recent project.
The Chamonix complex in Vail, Colorado, received the first place Award of Distinction in the permanent modular multifamily category from the Modular Building Institute. We were proud to be part of this unique project and the fact that it helps provide affordable housing to local workers in this resort community. The 32-townhome project saved the town of Vail over a year of construction time. Credit and thanks for this shared award go to the town of Vail, Colorado, as well as 359 Design, Nashua Builders, and DCI.
Our vision is to make modular the preferred way to build, and it’s been especially exciting to see this year’s show teaming with examples of progress toward this vision across the industry. From cities seeking affordable housing to developers looking for time, cost, and labor breakthroughs, modular construction creates win-win situations. With all the progress in our industry, everyone can be a winner. If we missed you at this year’s show, we hope to meet up with you in 2020.
